Terms

Terms of use

These terms apply between you and Fritz Kürmayr("we") when you use Orbit. They are short on purpose.

1. The service

Orbit lets you combine your own address book, LinkedIn connections and Instagram followers into one private list of people, with tags, notes and a map. It is provided as is, currently free of charge and in preview: features can change, and we may limit or end the service with reasonable notice.

2. Your account and your data

  • You sign in with a Google account and are responsible for what happens under it.
  • Your data stays yours. You can export it at any time (Sources → Backup) and delete your account with everything in it (Settings → Delete account).
  • You bring data about other people. Only import contacts you are entitled to keep — your own address book, your own connections — and respect those people's rights, including requests to be removed.

3. Fair use

  • No unlawful use, no harassment or stalking, no selling or publishing of contact data.
  • No attempts to access other users' data or to overload or circumvent the service.
  • The optional browser extension reads LinkedIn profiles in your own browser, with your own login, at a deliberately low rate. Whether that is compatible with LinkedIn's terms is your responsibility; use it privately and at your own risk.

4. Organizations

If you join an organization, Orbit shares only public LinkedIn data of listed people you are connected to, as described in the privacy policy. Organization admins are responsible for their list and for whom they admit.

5. Liability

We are liable for intent and gross negligence. For slight negligence we are liable only for personal injury and for breaches of essential obligations, limited to foreseeable damage. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected. Keep your own backup — we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that merges and imported data are free of errors.

6. Ending it

You can stop at any time by deleting your account. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

7. Law

Austrian law applies, without its conflict-of-law rules; mandatory consumer protection of your country of residence stays in force. Contact: legal@frilabs.dev.
